-Meet Alex-

Alex Villalba (they/them & elle/ellx) is a certified full-spectrum birthworker, prison doula, gender transition doula, and lactation education specialist. They are trained as a domestic violence counselor and work for Maternal Mental Health NOW (a perinatal mental health non-profit) in Los Angeles in the role of Community Resource Manager. Alex came to this work through lived experience and is committed to being a resource for other queer and trans people looking for support in their reproductive journey and other life transitions.

They center decolonial healing in their advocacy work and practice the belief that we find our deepest, most authentic self by diving into the messiest parts within. Through herbs and ritual, they build supportive environments for people to heal, find peace, and get inspired. Alex continues to be in awe of the magic felt in the queer community and is committed to actively learning how they can better show up and hold space for people of all identities.

In their free time, they can be found daydreaming of their next trip, biking through the city, reading fantasy smut, re-watching Grey’s Anatomy for the thousandth time, and often than not talking too much about their dog.
